Why Shule
Every school deserves a website parents can trust
Parents look a school up long before they visit. Too often they find an old page, a broken link or nothing at all, and the office phone rings all day with the same questions.
Shule gives every school, public or private, a clear and modern website built for the phones parents actually use. We build and host it for free, because good information about schools shouldn't depend on budgets.

Built around parents
What parents look for, right on the homepage
Most school websites hide these three clicks deep. Every Shule site opens with them, so parents find answers instead of calling the office.
- What it costsThe newest fee structure, with its size and date, so parents know it's current.
- How to joinIntake dates and a link to admissions and the enquiry form.
- Term datesWhen this term closes and the next one opens, straight from the school calendar.
- Who to talk toPhone, WhatsApp, email and office hours, entered once by the school.
- Why choose youOne line in the school's own words: results, facilities, a reason to visit.
Designs
Start from a complete design
Each design is a full website: pages, header, footer and starter content, in your school's name and colours. Change any part of it later.
For the school office
Run by the school office, not a web developer
Every job in the editor has a plain name. No code, no plugins to update, no hosting bill.
- Term dates and events
- Type the dates in once. The homepage, the calendar page and parents' phones all update.
- Fee structures and downloads
- Upload a PDF and it appears with its size and date, newest first.
- Enquiries
- Questions from the website's form arrive by email and stay in one list.
- Phone, WhatsApp and map
- Entered once in School details and shown wherever they're needed.
- Found on Google
- Search details and a sitemap are set up for you.
- Staff logins
- Give a colleague their own login, limited to the parts they look after. An alumni office is there if you want one.

Questions
Good to know
Is it really free?
Yes. The website, hosting and help are free for verified schools. If we add paid extras later, they'll be optional and your website stays free.
Which schools can sign up?
Any school registered with the Ministry of Education in Kenya, public or private, from pre-primary to secondary.
What do we need to start?
The school's name, its crest and colours, and an email address. You'll also upload the school's Ministry of Education registration certificate, which the school office can give you. You can add the certificate later.
Why do you check the certificate?
So nobody can put up a site pretending to be your school. Your site can be edited straight away but only goes public once we've checked it.
Can we use our own domain?
Yes. Connect a domain the school already owns, or we'll help you register a .sc.ke address.
Who owns the content?
Your school does. The account belongs to the school, not to one person, so a new principal or administrator can take over.
Who runs Shule?
Shule is built in Kenya by Koko & Co, a company building for students and schools.
